Kuta has many options of mid-range-budget restaurants. Most of them serve international cuisine and open from 10 AM until around midnight, few eateries open around the clock. There are also available high-end restaurants with authentic taste and fabulous environment of course you have to dig your pocket a little deeper. For budget travelers Kuta offers roadside stalls (warung) that serve a good selection of Indonesian and international food that can be a real filling and give a much lighter punch to the pocket.

Low-end

  Situated between Popies Lane 1 and 2, Warung Indonesia is popular eatery that packed most night and offers good value for your money.

• Tree House Cafe
  Located at Popies Lane 1, Tree House Cafe offers delicious Dutch snacks as its specialty; popular eatery; busy and crowded is ordinary scene here.

• Aroma Cafe
  Last but definitely not the least is Aroma Cafe at Jalan Legian, well known for its delicious vegetarian dishes, a highly recommended restaurant.

Mid-range

• Made’s Warung
  A sociable eating venue at Jalan Pantai Kuta that is popular for local, expats and tourists alike. Made’ Warung serves wide range of food including Indonesian, Japanese and Western; a pioneer of Kuta’s restaurant and is still doing roaring trade.

• Kafe Batan Waru
  Situated at Jalan Kartika Plaza right by the entrance to Discovery Shopping Mall, Kafe Batan Waru has a good selection of Indonesian food, great coffee and cocktail.

• Blue Fin
  Blue Fin at Jalan Kartika Plaza is a part of Kuta Siewalk Complex. This fusion Japanese restaurant serves delicious Japanese food with reasonable prices.

  This restaurant at Popies Lane 2 serves international cuisine with cozy and comfortable atmosphere; you can choose whether to enjoy the dishes in the private gazebos area or on the seating upstairs or downstairs.

• Flapjack
  Situated at Kuta Sidewalk, Flapjack offers variety of delectable dishes including various pancakes, waffle, crepes, gelato, and smoothies. It is a good option for breakfast and snack.

A former sleepy fishing village, 10 km south of Denpasar on Bali’s southwest coast where fishermen eke their life from the sea, now can be seen as five kilometers of close-packed tourist accommodation and entertainment. In short, Kuta is one of the best beaches in Bali where you can enjoy beautiful sunset; the only surf on the island where surfers can wipe out without being cut to pieces by reefs; an area with many choices of good value accommodations, restaurants and shops.

Legian

Once a poor seaside village, Legian is now an extension of Kuta with more chic energy.  Situated on the north of Kuta, Legian also offers plenty of shops and bars but a slightly more relaxed and less chaotic feeling. The northern area of Legian bordering Seminyak offers a bit of an escape from the crowds and is also a popular surf beach.

Legian is a small beachfront area which stretches from Jalan Melasti north to Jalan Arjuna. Most of the popular Legian hotels are on or close to the beach. As a matter of fact the size of Legian is no bigger than a few blocks in a large city, most of Legian can be covered on foot. Despite its small size, this area has a very popular tourist’s destination due to the lovely beach frontage and availability of many mid-market hotels.

In short Legian is a place where visitors stay, shop, eat, drink and go to the beach. Legian Beach is one of the best in Bali for viewing the sunset.
